Joey Gonzales

Hi my name is Joey Gonzales and welcome to my site! I am currently enrolled at the University of Incarnate Word (San Antonio, Texas) where I am studying to get my masters in communication arts. While attending UIW, I serve as a graduate assistant for broadcasting, providing play-by-commentary for Cardinal athletics on ESPN+. My broadcasting journey began in 2020 during my junior year at Samuel Clemens High School in Schertz, Texas. After joining a class named the Clemens Broadcasting Network, I provided play-by-play commentary for various athletic events on Youtube Live. After graduating high school, I attended Texas State University where I received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Major in Electronic Media. During my in San Marcos, I joined KTSW 89.9 FM where I broadcasted Texas State and San Marcos high school athletics. While at Texas State, I interned with the Visalia Rawhide (Arizona Diamondbacks Single-A Affiliate) before getting hired as the Broadcasting/Media Relations manager. for the 2024 season. Since 2020, I have called over 400 events and 11 different sports.
